Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly BEYOND all that we ask or think… Ephesians 3:30
Welcome to BEYOND
Tara and I are excited about the vision that God has placed before our church. Since August of 2014, Thrive Chapel has grown from a small group of 68 people who helped launch our church in River Ridge High School. What we experience now in two services each Sunday morning in our current leased building is far beyond what that original group ever imagined.
Since those humble beginnings, our mission has always been to help people grow in their next step with God. However, we never envisioned the amazing journey God had for our church family. He has truly taken Thrive Chapel far "Beyond" our wildest dreams.
Ephesians 3:20-21 says "Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever ... "
This tells us that God is in the story of exceeding our expectations. It is our prayer that you will join us in moving "Beyond" where we are today and into the future.
Join us in this church-wide study, beginning together on Monday, March 4th. We will have a new post each day along with an area that you can post your thoughts about the daily devotional. We have outlined a STEP Devotional Plan for you to follow below. I can't wait to watch you grow!

WHAT IS BEYOND?
It’s an opportunity… a calling to contribute in a way that is rare and significant. We have a bold and courageous vision, and as each of us practice obedience by returning to God part of what He has given us, we have the potential to see thousands of lives changed forever.
What we may not know as of yet, is where our next church home will be. But what we do know is how to get there, so let’s begin now for that day. Our current lease expires in January 2022; that gives us a little more than 2 years to prepare for what is beyond our current church space.
Our primary goal in accomplishing this vision is not a numerical total, but rather 100% participation of our church in filling out a Commitment Card. Our Generosity Initiative Team has been meeting since November and will present a series of gatherings to help invite others along this journey:
Pathfinder Gatherings leading up to March
Life Group study & Sermon Series to help us grow in this journey
Beyond Worship Night where we will present our commitments
We are taking a specific approach to our initiative that is focused more on inspiring generosity and discipleship than just making contributions.
“One Fund” is an all-inclusive plan that disciples new and marginal givers to experience the blessing of generosity that you already know well.
We are inviting our church to pledge the total amount of your giving over a 2-year period to the current operation and further expansion of Thrive.
We are inviting you to add together your regular financial contribution onto the additional generosity towards our future building space, and make a 2-year giving commitment of that total amount. We recognize this is a God-sized opportunity far beyond any one person. Reaching our need of $1.4 million will take sacrifices from all of us. What you are holding in your hand is a challenge to be prayerfully and financially involved in the vision of Beyond.
To establish your sacrificial amount beyond the tithe, utilize this giving guide:

As you begin to pray about what God might want you to give, embrace this as a spiritual journey. The question to ask the Lord is not “how much do I think I can give?” but rather “how much do You want me to contribute, God?”
To serve you in this process, we are offering these spiritual touch points:
message series on Sundays in March entitled Beyond
devotional that corresponds with the Beyond message series
church-wide prayer meetings to seek God in His direction
Beyond Worship Night – Saturday, March 9th at River Ridge HS
As we go back to where it all began, we will look beyond for what God has next. Here we will present our Beyond financial commitments in this worship service.
Our desire is that you would not just attend church, but also hear from God on a daily basis through His word. We believe that doing consistent devotions re-patterns the way we think, transforms our heart, and helps us become more like Christ.
So take this daily reading devotional, utilizing the STEP Plan described below, and imagine the power of our entire church family studying the same scriptures each day! Begin with us on Sunday, March 3rd as we kick off this new series called Beyond and then let’s dive into this 21-Day Beyond Devotional together!
STEP Devotional Plan
Read the daily passage for this church-wide reading plan.
Write out an observation about the scripture(s) you just read and ask God; what are You saying to me through this verse?
Personalize what you have read by asking yourself how this scripture’s observation applies to your life right now.
Pray that God would help apply this truth to your life!
STEP journaling is not a diary, rather a simple and diligent way to both record and process what God has spoken to you. It’s also a useful tool to use at a later time when you want to reflect on and review some of the “gems” that you have received. Without writing them down, you may forget those blessings and important lessons!
Furthermore, while journaling is a personal time with the Lord, you may want to share some of your daily journaling with a close friend, so having a written record becomes very important! Through discussion, you may be able to look deeper into what God is speaking to you, gain new insight, and even encourage others!
Look for the first devotion on Monday, March 4th!
